PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES

PATRICK DERVISHI, ESQ

Patrick Dervishi has been with the Firm since 2004 after graduating from the University of Florida. He is part of the Shir Law Group with extensive experience in litigation and appeals and has taken many cases to successful completion either at trial or through motions for summary judgment. He practices and focuses his efforts in assisting homeowners and condominium association in covenant enforcement matters, foreclosures, and general corporate matters, construction defects and foreclosure of construction liens, commercial litigation, business governance and shareholder disputes, general contracts, debtor-creditor law, residential and commercial real property litigation and evictions. A good portion of Patrick Dervishi’s practice relates to appeals. Two years after graduating from law school, he made new law when the Florida Supreme Court agreed with him that a trial court may include attorney’s fees that may be foreseeably be incurred in obtaining a discharge of a lis pendens in a lis pendens bond. He was also part of the legal team that was able to strike down the mandatory membership scheme requiring owners to join the Ironhorse country club. While in law school, Patrick was an editor of the Florida Journal of International Law, and received book awards in Real Property and Civil Procedure.

Patrick lives in Weston with his wife and two children, Dylan and Ethan. He enjoys all sports, but soccer takes a special place. He volunteers his time to teach kids the sport and as a certified soccer referee in competitive games.
