Patrick Dervishi joined the Firm in 2004 after graduating from the University of Florida. He has extensive experience in litigation and appeals and has taken many cases to successful completion at trial or through summary judgment.
He focuses on helping homeowners and condominium associations with covenant enforcement and foreclosures, along with general corporate matters, construction defects and construction lien foreclosure, commercial litigation, business governance and shareholder disputes, contracts, debtor–creditor law, residential and commercial real property litigation, and evictions.
A significant part of his practice is appellate. Two years out of law school he made new law when the Florida Supreme Court agreed that a trial court may include attorney’s fees foreseeably incurred in obtaining discharge of a lis pendens in a lis pendens bond. He was also part of the legal team that struck down the mandatory membership scheme requiring owners to join the Ironhorse country club.
In law school Patrick was an editor of the Florida Journal of International Law and received book awards in Real Property and Civil Procedure. He lives in Weston with his family, and volunteers as a youth soccer coach and certified referee.
