Condominium & HOA Law

The Firm is best known for its work in the homeowner and condominium association practice areas — and for understanding both sides of the table.

Our attorneys cover the entire spectrum of legal counseling for condominium, cooperative, timeshare and homeowners associations. We also counsel clubs, master associations, ad hoc owners’ committees and individual unit owners.

Because we have represented associations and unit owners alike, we understand owner-driven litigation from the inside. That perspective helps us advise boards on what is likely to happen next — and helps owners understand their rights.

Each attorney plays an active role on the client’s professional team: helping the board and property manager prepare for and run meetings, answering questions about governing documents and the law, enforcing covenants and restrictions, and drafting and negotiating service contracts.

Frequently asked questions

Do you represent individual owners or only associations?

Both. The Firm represents condominium, cooperative and homeowners associations, and also represents individual unit and parcel owners in disputes with their associations, subject to a conflict check.

Can you help our association collect unpaid assessments?

Yes. Assessment collections, liens and lien foreclosures are a core part of our community association practice, handled throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

Florida condominium law changed recently — can you help us comply?

Florida’s condominium and HOA statutes (Chapters 718 and 720) have been amended many times in recent sessions, including post-Surfside building-safety requirements such as milestone inspections and structural integrity reserve studies. We counsel boards on current obligations; contact us for advice specific to your community.
